Summer Had a Fall

Hi, awesome readers! Something sad has happened. :( Summer had a fall.

She hit her head.

And it's scratched! I am going to have to save up to send her to the doll hospital.

Have any of you ever sent your doll to the hospital?
Or fixed her yourself? How did it turn out?

I am going to the American Girl Place in Minnesota in May and maybe I will get her fixed then. Do any of you live close to Minnesota? Would you like to do a meet-up?

    1. She fell off my dresser. My dolls fall sometimes, but this time there is a bad scratch!

  3. Try a magic eraser but don't scrub too much or too hard. If you do you can take off your doll's eyebrow or leave a streak. Watch a YouTube video on it

    1. Yeah, I might try that, but the scratch is kind of deep.

  4. I have that same doll and she also has a few white scratches. I have heard that magic eraser can work. Oh, I live really close to the AGP Minneapolis, so depending on the date, I would love to come to the meet up!

  5. My dolls have scratches on them too, but I just tell myself it means they are well loved and played with! Besides, replaced their body parts would be
    1. expensive, and
    2. Sad! It wouldn't be the same without the old Molly head.

I hope Summer feels better soon and will be taken care of well at the Doll Hospital! ^_^

By the way, you have received yet another award! Click here to find it and scroll down until you see it. http://delightfulworldofdolls.com/awards/

    1. That's true, I guess if they can't remove the scratch they would give her a new head which would be sad. Her legs are getting super loose though, I might at least get her legs fixed.

    2. Yeah, I love happy memories so replacing my Molly's head would be, like, total torture. XD
I hope her legs get fixed! Loose limbs are no fun...especially for me, a stopmotioner. My Molly has looser limbs, so its hard to pose her sometimes. :-(

  10. Xyra here, I'm so very sorry to hear of Summer's fall. I do hope she recovers quickly. Regarding the scratch...we all have a few scars. They give us character.

Her legs...Melody's limbs are so very loose conditions have to be perfect for her to pose properly. They have been getting worse all year. I know I can't do "the operation" myself (despite all the YouTube tutorials) but am frightened to let her away from me. She has a Pleasant Company head and I'd hate for anything to be replaced that didn't need to be.

  12. Poor Summer!
My doll Ana has that problem too. I color-matched her face paint, then really carefully painted over it.

  13. Hi Amaya! I just saw this post and I thought I would mention that several of my dolls have the paint on their eyelids scratched off, white marks from hitting the ground, eat. And my doll Rebecca, my favorite doll, has three of her toes chewed off by my dog. ( don't ask lol) but her foot doesn't matter because she's always wearing shoes, and my dolls eyes are open most of the time. I thought I would point out that summers scratch can be covered with a super cute hairstyle!
