Cafezinho do Brasil

Oi! That's "hi" in Portuguese! As some of you might know, I am American and Brazilian, and I found something special from Brazil the other day.

It's this adorable cafezinho set. "Cafezinho" means little coffee. In Brazil, they drink strong coffee sometimes in tiny cups/mugs like this one.

Isn't it cute? They really drink out of these!

And when I found this set in my mom's storage, I couldn't believe how cute it was and that it actually fit my dolls!

There are 6 of them, so I might talk my mom into having a tea party with all my dolls sometimes.

But for not, she is going to put the set back and store it away so it doesn't get broken.

It's too cute not to use, don't you think? But the problem is that my mom breaks mugs so she's afraid she will break these. lol

Did you ever break something that was really special? What did you do about it?

  6. The cafezinho cup is fabulous and the fact that is represents your heritage make it even more special. As a mom myself I DO understand your mom's desire to keep these wonderful things safe and secure. BUT I also know that special treasures are meant to be seen, used and cherished! Maybe mom will let you keep one out to use with your dolls and to share with us here on the internet. I understand how special these are to her, but maybe suggest that you will cherish the MEMORIES you create using these special mugs even MORE than having a box of pristine mugs! Invite your mom to not only have a tea party with the dolls but with YOU!!! Ceramics can always be glued back together if they get broken, but they will have a story to tell in the future. Imagine one day being able to have a tea party with your own children and being able to tell them how you had tea parties with your mom with the same cups! (or better yet they can have those same tea parties with gramma!)

  9. That cup and saucer set is very cute, I bet it is very special to your mom! I bumped into a table and broke a candy dish at my aunts house, she got very mad, I felt bad about it but it was an accident.

    1. Yes it is! I think your aunt shouldn't have gotten so mad at you. It was just an accident.

  10. That is so neat! I love the little cup and saucer. I've broken quite a few things that I still regret breaking. I was given a really lovely pair of chopsticks and one fell on the floor and broke. Really can't be repaired. I could use the good one, but am unsure of the etiquette with regards to mismatched chopsticks.

So did you also wish we saw more of Isabelle's best friend in the books? Her heritage is similar to yours.

    1. Thanks! I do too! Yeah, I have broken many things before. :) Hehe
Yeah, It would be nice! I think that they should have "Bff" dolls for all the girl of the year dolls like Chrissa.
